Dear Parents, Students, Staff and Friends of the Jeannette City School District,

 

As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, I am excited to welcome our students, families, staff, and community back for another year of growth, opportunity, and progress. While continuing to honor the pride and traditions that define Jeannette, we remain focused on creating new opportunities that prepare every student for the future.

 

This year, we will continue building on the success of our new McKee Elementary School while expanding academic, career, and extracurricular opportunities throughout the district. At McKee, we are placing a continued emphasis on strong Tier 1 instruction to ensure all students have access to high-quality, engaging learning experiences. We are also excited to further develop our PBIS House System, which will promote positive behavior, strengthen relationships, build school pride, and create an even greater sense of belonging and community among our students.

 

Through career exploration, workforce readiness, internships, college-in-high-school programs, Advanced Placement and honors courses, and our work to Reimagine 12th Grade, we are helping students develop meaningful pathways for life after graduation.

 

One of our greatest strengths is our small-school environment, where every student has the opportunity to be known, supported, and challenged. None of this work is possible without the dedication of our staff, School Board, families, alumni, community partners, and friends of the district.

 

The future of Jeannette is bright, and I believe our best days are still ahead. Together, we will continue to honor our traditions while creating a student-centered, innovative, and future-focused school district.
