Enrollment Information
Student Registration
Registration for the Jeannette City School District is open to students who reside within the boundaries of the Jeannette City School District and meet the age requirement for entrance into Kindergarten. Students are eligible for kindergarten if they are at least five (5) years of age on or before the first day of school of the upcoming school year.
To begin the registration process, please complete the online registration form. The documents required to register are listed below:
1. An immunization record signed by your doctor stating the date and type of immunizations your child has received. According to Pennsylvania law, students will not be admitted to school without this information.
2. A birth or baptismal certificate is required as proof of age. Birth certificates may be obtained using the government site www.health.pa.gov listed under Vital Records.
3. Proof of Residency: In accordance with PDE guidelines, acceptable proof of residency includes any one of the following documents containing the name and current address of the child’s parent or guardian: a current deed; a mortgage statement dated within the past three months; an active residential lease agreement; a utility bill (electric, gas, water, or internet) dated within the past three months; a credit card bill dated within the past three months; a bank statement dated within the past three months; a tax bill dated within the past three months; an insurance document dated within the past three months; or official mail sent within the past three months from a federal or state government agency, such as benefits information, voter registration, or tax documents.
4. Any current orders regarding your child, if applicable. Examples include custodial or guardianship agreements.

*If you are resident of Jeannette but are enrolling a student who is a non-resident, you must complete the paperwork below. This does not apply to foster or unaccompanied youth enrollments.
